10. La Sabaneta Prison, Venezuela
La Sabaneta Prison is Situated in South Africa. It is considered to be the most brutal prison in South Africa. Basic tool of torture of this prison is ignorance of the prisoners, no medical aid is provided, and dearth of food is always there because there are roughly 25,000 prisoners in Venezuela, but the facilities are designed to hold 15,000.

Bang Kwang Central Prison is a men's prison in Nonthaburi Province, Thailand, on the Chao Phraya River about 11 km north of Bangkok. It is a part of the Department of Corrections. The prison is the location of the men's death row and execution chamber of Thailand. As of 2009 743 men were on death row. As of 1995 there is one man from the United Kingdom on death row at Bang Kwang, Alan John Davies. He was the first European to receive a death sentence in Thailand.

Extreme human rights violations including routine torture, forced labor and human medical experiments have been attested to by defectors previously employed at the camp.
1. Carandiru Penitentiary, Brazil
Carandiru Penitentiary was a prison located in São Paulo, Brazil. The prison was designed and built by Samuel das Neves in 1920, when it was considered a model-prison to meet the new demands of the 1890 criminal code. Overcrowding is extremely common in Brazil's prisons, which suffer endemic violence with food scarce and cells so packed that inmates have no space to lie down. A 1992 rebellion at the Carandiru prison in Sao Paulo state saw 111 inmates killed, nearly all of them by police retaking the jail.
